What sets IndexNow apart?

Which are the IndexNow protocol’s participating search engines?

The second important factor that caused us to reconsider IndexNow is the most recent modification to the protocol. The IndexNow team switched the API’s endpoint from pinging every single supported search engine individually to a single API that is controlled by the protocol. This reduces the number of sites that must ping each other, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the operation.
All of this is consistent with our vision of a long-term crawling and indexing solution, thus the right time has come to integrate IndexNow into Yoast SEO.
We can only hope that Google will soon support IndexNow.
